Our Origin

Taprobana — the name the old maps gave this island.

For two thousand years, Arab, Greek and Chinese traders sailed here for cinnamon, pepper and lotus. We still gather the same way: by hand, from smallholdings in the central highlands and the wet southern belt, then dried slowly under the sun.

Every pouch carries the specimen number, the botanical name and the region it came from — because a dried petal is only as honest as its provenance.

The Ritual

From hillside to your cup, in three quiet steps.

01

Wildcrafted by hand

Blossoms and leaves are gathered at the right hour by growers we know by name, never strip-harvested.

02

Sun-dried in small batches

Shade and sun drying — never fumigated, never irradiated — so colour and aroma survive the journey.

03

Packed & posted from the island

Sealed in kraft pouches with a clear window, then posted from Sri Lanka to wherever you brew your tea.

Tasting notes

Notes from the people who brew it.

4.6 from 5 notes
“Large, clean leaves with very little dust or stem in the pouch. I boil a handful for tea each evening the way my grandmother did in Kandy, and it tastes just as I remember. Shipping to Melbourne took nine days.”
Dilani SilvaDilani Silva · Soursop Leaves
“Very bitter on its own, so I brew it with a spoon of honey as suggested. The leaves are dry, green and clearly fresh. Two weeks in and my dreams have become noticeably more vivid and easier to recall.”
Elise MoreauElise Moreau · Calea Dream Herb
“This is the real cinnamon — thin, brittle curls that snap between your fingers, nothing like the thick bark sold in supermarkets. I drop two chips into black coffee every morning and the aroma is extraordinary.”
